Photos: Retired Forsyth Canine Enjoys the Beach
Tryst was a K-9 officer with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office until 2014.
CUMMING, GA -- As retirement goes, Tryst seems to have his all figured out.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office recently shared photos of Tryst, a retired K-9 officer with the office, enjoying a day at the beach.
"K-9 Tryst seems to really be enjoying retirement!" the Facebook post reads. "This was Tryst's first time at the beach!"

Tryst retired from the law enforcement, along with two other Forsyth County dogs, back in 2014.
Typically, the dog's handlers while they are on duty take care of them in retirement.

In a comment on the Facebook post, the sheriff's office noted that the length of service of a K9 officer varies from dog to dog, but tends to range from 5-10 years.
"Their retirement can be due to age or health reasons," the post says. "They typically retire once their 'drive' to work starts to reduce."
