Police: No Foul Play in Cumming College Student's Death

Statesboro police have announced that they do not suspect foul play in the death of a 19-year-old Georgia Southern University student who was from Cumming.

According to the Statesboro Herald, Brooke Edwards, 19, was found unresponsive in her off-campus apartment on Friday. She was a sophomore biology major at GSU, and had graduated from North Forsyth High School with the Class of 2013.

Police said that they would release no further information on Edwards’ death. The Bulloch County Coroner’s Office said that it would take several weeks to get the toxicology report on Edwards be completed.
