Police: Shoplifting Suspect Steals TVs, Leaves Probation Papers Behind
Cumming police are working to confirm that the papers belong to the shoplifting suspect before issuing an arrest warrant.

A man who allegedly shoplifted several high-end items from a wholesale store in Cumming left behind a very peculiar calling card for police, according to a Cumming Police Department incident report.
According to the report, an officer responded to a shoplifting call at the BJ’s at 1725 Market Place Blvd. just after 9 p.m. on Dec. 8. The officer was told the suspect had already fled the scene through a back exit.
The officer met with the manager behind the store, where several items were strewn across the ground. The police report says several televisions, including a 65-inch Samsung ultra high definition model which costs $3,179.99, were among the missing items.

One of the items left behind at the back of the store was an offender information sheet of a man the police report says is on probation in Gwinnett County for driving with a suspended/revoked license and theft by taking.
The officer said in his report that he was forced to leave the store and respond to another call before he was able to look at video surveillance of the alleged shoplifting. He was able to corroborate the offender information found at the scene to information in the state’s crime information database and information on file with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.
