If any of the Nov. 4 races are too close to call, runoff elections will be scheduled. The state and local general runoff would be on Dec. 2, while any federal runoff election would be held on Jan. 6, 2015.
Voters who wish to head to the polls on a Sunday will have to wait until 2016 for that possibility; the Forsyth County Board of Elections ruled out opening polls on Sundays for 2014 early voting during their meeting on Monday, but would continue to examine the possibility and could implement Sunday voting by the 2016 election cycle.
