Porn Found in Wii Game
A Cumming mom gets more than she bargained for after purchasing a used Wii game at local store.
Cumming resident Traci Turner had hoped to save some money when she purchased a used Nintendo Wii game for her children at a store in Cumming.
What she got was pornography.
Her 6-year-old son opened the 'Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games' only to discover sexual images on the inside of the game box. He was not alone; several friends also caught a glimpse of the images.

Turner contacted the store with her findings only to have an employee thank her and end the call. According to the company Web site GameStop is “committed to inspiring our customers with service and merchandise to create long-lasting relationships.”
Cumming Patch contacted store only to have a female employee respond, “I can’t do anything with the media” when asked about the incident. She had been instructed not to speak publicly about the situation.

Turner’s story was aired by Channel 2 Action News Friday and Amy Napier Viteri reported that an apology was given to Turner. The GameStop employee could not confirm the apology adding, “I’m really sorry but I don’t know anything about an apology.”
In an e-mail statement to Cumming Patch late Friday afternoon, GameStop Corporate Spokesperson Beth Sharum wrote, “GameStop regrets this happened to one of our customers and has offered her our sincerest apologies. We are working directly with the customer to resolve the issue and looking into the circumstances surrounding this sale. Of the millions of transactions we process each year, incidents like this one are rare. GameStop is all about a great customer experience. We work diligently to make sure that our processes comply with ESRB to protect our customers.”
Questions regarding the GameStop policy for trading in games were left unanswered.
