Proposed GA-400 Interchange Gets Public Hearing from GDOT

he project includes the construction of a new interchange at McGinnis Ferry Road, widening S.R. 400 and other improvements.

The Georgia Department of Transportation and officials in Forsyth County are developing a project to improve mobility on S.R. 400 at McGinnis Ferry Road.

Forsyth County will host a public information open house on their plans from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College.

The project includes construction of an interchange on S.R. 400 at McGinnis Ferry Road, widening GA-400 south from McGinnis Ferry to McFarland Parkway, widening McGinnis Ferry Road and operational improvements at intersections along McGinnis Ferry.

Georgia DOT engineers and consultants will be available to discuss the proposal. There will not be a formal presentation during the open house.

Residents can record their comments at the open house. Written statements can also be submitted until Sept. 21 to:
