Publix To Anchor 82,000 Square Foot Shopping Center In N. Forsyth
Retail Planning Corporation plans to break ground April 11 on the Publix at Matt Shopping Center, off Bannister Road and Matt Highway.

CUMMING, GA -- A new Publix will be coming to north Forsyth next summer.
Retail Planning Corporation, headquartered in Atlanta, plans to break ground on the Publix at Matt Shopping Center, located at the corner of Bannister Road and Matt Highway/Ga. 369, on April 11. The 82,000 square-foot retail plaza will be anchored by a 48,500 square-foot Publix store and is scheduled to open in summer 2020. A mix of other services and restaurants will make up the remainder of the center.
"The new Publix will include a variety of fresh, all-natural and traditional products as well as a drive thru pharmacy window for customers on the go," Brenda Reid, media and community relations manager for Publix’s Atlanta Division said in a release. "We’re very excited about the opportunity to offer the Publix shopping experience to additional customers in the Cumming/Forsyth area."

Forsyth County Commissioner Cindy Mills said in a release that this center has curated "the right mix of local, regional and national retail merchants."
Additional signed leases at the plaza include Great Clips, Nail Talk & Tan, J. Christopher’s and AT&T. Ongoing leasing efforts will target restaurants, beauty and health services, shipping facilities, financial services, children’s daycare, fast casual and fast food restaurants.
