Qualifying Field Set In Forsyth County For May 24 Primary

The qualifying period for the May 24 primaries ended Friday. Candidates filed for Forsyth County Commission, Board of Education and more.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — Qualifying for the May 24 primary and nonpartisan elections in Georgia closed Friday, and most Forsyth County legislators and representatives will have opposition this year.

Ballots for Forsyth County voters will include county commissioners in districts 1 and 3; school board members in districts 1 and 5; solicitor general; judge of state court of Forsyth County; state Senate districts 27 and 48; state House districts 11, 24, 25, 26, 28, and 100; U.S. Senate; and U.S. House of Representatives district 6.

The ballots will also include statewide elections, such as governor, secretary of state, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, insurance commissioner, state school superintendent and labor commissioner.
