Rash Of Overnight Burglaries, Keep Valuables Hidden: Sheriff

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – A rash of overnight burglaries from cars prompted the Sheriff's Office to remind residents to keep valuables out of sight, lock vehicles.

Deputies say they have had several reports Friday of unlocked vehicles being entered late last night or early morning in the Haw Creek, Windermere, Jot Em Down Road areas of the county.

Laptops, phones and purses were stolen. Several credit cards stolen from purses were immediately used at businesses open 24 hours. Detectives believe the same suspects committed the crimes in both north and south Forsyth.

The Sheriff's Office is trying to get photos and/or videos of the criminals and will then release them to the public.

The Sheriff's Office warns to double check cars to make sure all valuables are out of sight and in your house.
Never leave anything in your vehicle in plain sight.
