Recycle Electronics and Paint in Cumming on May 20
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful is sponsoring a paint and electronics recycling event as a fundraiser.

CUMMING, GA — Keep Forsyth County Beautiful is inviting residents to participate in their upcoming paint and electronics recycling event.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Cumming Fairgrounds Parking Lot No. 3, off of Castleberry Road.
"Every spring and fall our staff and volunteers look forward to this event," Environmental Program Manager Tammy Wright said. "We get to be amazed by how many recyclables are collected in a 4-hour period and kept out of landfills."

Accepted items for the electronics recycling event include desktop computers, laptops, printers, stereos, CD players, cell phones, gaming consoles and controllers, and more.
A minimum donation of $5 per carload is requested. An additional $20 fee will apply for each television and an additional $10 fee will apply for each computer monitor. Only cash payments will be accepted.

Latex and oil-based paints in their original containers will also be accepted. The cost to dispose of latex paint is $12 for a 5-gallon bucket, $5 for a 2-gallon bucket, $3 for a 1-gallon can and $1 for a 1-quart can or smaller.
The cost to dispose of oil-based paints is $17 for a 5-gallon bucket, $4 for a 1-gallon can, $2 for a 1-quart can and $1 for a 1-pint can. The cost is $1 for any type of spray can.
Some items, such as large wooden console televisions, projector televisions, toaster ovens and refrigerators, will not be accepted during the event.
