Retired Forsyth K-9 Officer Passes Away

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of a retired K-9 officer who served on the force for three years.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Blade fought against stomach cancer for over a year before passing away on Wednesday. The male Beauceron served with distinction between 2006 and 2009, helping sheriff’s deputies track down and arrest felony suspects.

Blaze was 12 years old.
