Rise In Stealing From Cars, Police Remind Residents To Lock Doors
Police say there has been a rise in cars being unlawfully entered, especially at Greenway parking lots.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office warned residents to lock their car doors recently on Facebook. They said, because there has been a rise in cars being unlawfully entered.
"The Greenway parking lots are a good example," The Facebook post reads. "Please keep valuables such as purses out of sight even if you have no money in the purse. Enjoy the Greenway by placing your Driver's License in your pocket."
The Douglasville Police Department recently warned residents to lock their vehicles while the victim was pumping gas. because there have been at least five recent thefts.

Police point out, in a video, it took the suspect eight seconds to reach into the unlocked vehicle and steal a purse. Police believe all five incidents are related even though they do not have any identifying photos of the suspects yet.
