Dwayne Johnson has been filming "Baywatch" at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.
SAVANNAH, GA -- Never let it be said that The Rock doesn't love the kids.
Pro wrestler-turned-action star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been filming a big-screen version of "Baywatch" in Savannah lately and, over the weekend, he shared images of a couple of visits he paid to young patients at Memorial University Medical Center.
Part of the movie's filming has taken place at the hospital.

"Awesome experience and THANK YOU to all the hard working and caring staff who helped make this visit possible," Johnson wrote on his Facebook page Saturday. "To all the kids I met - you guys keep smiling and staying strong. All the mamas and daddy's I met, y'all stay strong too."
He went on to say visits like Saturday's "will always be the best part of fame."

But the real tear-jerker came in a post from the same visit he posted on Sunday.
While visiting the pediatric ward, Johnson wrote, he "called an audible" and decided to go visit an older child named Christopher who was receiving care in the adult ward. His mother had been "pleading" for The Rock to come visit, according to the post.
So I called an audible and went to visit Christopher. Glad we did... While I was visiting the Pediatric Specialty Ward...

"We were shooting Baywatch Movie scenes outside of the hospital, but instead of heading back to shoot I called the audible, put production on hold and went upstairs to see this young man," Johnson wrote.
Johnson said the two talked about Christopher's family, his school and about how hard he's working to graduate. They also talked about "how COOL" all of his surgery scars are.
"Those scars are badges of honor and the reminder of how beyond tough this kid is," Johnson wrote.
He said Christopher's mother told him she didn't have anything else to give him, but that she was glad she was able to give him the visit with Johnson.
She then started crying, Johnson wrote, a moment captured in the photograph above
"Made me think to give so much credit to these parents who would do anything to take their kid's pain away and ANYTHING to bring a smile to their faces," Johnson wrote. "As a papa bear I understand."
Johnson, 43, has a daughter, Simone Alexandra, who was born in 2001.
He stars alongside Zac Efron in "Baywatch," which is scheduled for release in 2017.
