Sheriff Piper Shares Halloween Safety Advice
Duane Piper tells parents and kids how they can stay safe while trick-or-treating in Cumming and the rest of the county

Forsyth County Sheriff Duane Piper wants to make sure trick-or-treaters in his jurisdiction don’t get any tricks while making their rounds on Halloween.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has released a video featuring Piper sharing several safety tips for parents and youngsters to observe while out on Halloween night next Friday.

- Making sure costumes have reflective strips or glow sticks on them, or equipping children with flashlights.
- Avoid using masks that keep children from seeing clearly,
- If you’re expecting trick-or-treaters, make sure there aren’t any candles or open flames near the door that could catch costumes on fire.
