Special Election Tuesday for Cumming Council Seat, House District 24

Voters in the Cumming area will head to the polls Tuesday, June 16, for two special elections. Candidates are hoping to fill the vacancy in Georgia House District 24 and Cumming City Council Post 1.

Voters must go to their designated precinct to vote. The precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

House candidates are hoping to fill the unexpired term of Mark Hamilton, who resigned. The candidates include:

• Sheri Smallwood Gilligan
• Will Kremer
• Ethan Underwood
• David M. Van Sant

The Cumming Council candidates are hoping to fill the unexpired term of Rupert Sexton. The candidates include:

• Roger L. Crow
• Linda Ledbetter
• Julie Tressler
• Charles ”Chuck” Welch Jr.
