Students at Carrington Academy Locations in Cumming Kiss a Pig on Valentine’s Day to Raise Money for Earth Day Initiatives

In culmination of school-wide fundraisers, students and school administrators were rewarded with the opportunity to kiss a real pig

In celebration of school-wide fundraisers and Valentine’s Day, students and administrators at Carrington Academy locations in Cumming had the opportunity to kiss a real pig at their schools on Feb. 14. Since the end of January, school administrators and students at Carrington Academy on Majors Road worked to fill piggy banks to collect funds for a greenhouse they plan to build on their campus in time for Earth Day. At Carrington Academy Midway and Carrington Academy on Kelly Mill Road, students worked to collect funds for outdoor learning classrooms they plan to create on their campuses. At each school, the classroom and administrator that collected the most money had the chance to kiss the pigs, which were provided by a local farm.
