Summer Campers at Carrington Academy Windermere in Cumming Raise More than $300 to Benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Campers hosted a coffee bar and sold original works of art to raise money to purchase items on the nonprofit's wish list

Campers at Carrington Academy Windermere in Cumming raised more than $300 throughout the summer to purchase items to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. To raise funds, students hosted a coffee bar for parents with items donated by a local Starbucks, and created and sold original works of art. With the funds in hand, campers took a field trip to purchase items on the organization’s wish list, including toys, books, and arts and crafts supplies. The campers also made get well cards for patients, which were included in the donation. Through this initiative, campers learned the importance of helping other kids in need.
