Suspicious Vehicles Explained By Forsyth County Sheriff's Office

Suspicious vehicles cruising through Forsyth neighborhoods are explained by the Sheriff's Office.

CUMMING, GA – The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has been investigating reports of suspicious vehicles in neighborhoods, primarily in southwest and southeast Forsyth. Several citizens have called 911 in reference to people taking photographs.

The Sheriff's Office was able to get tag numbers on two of the cars identified and we contacted the owners of the vehicles. Both stated that they work with different real estate companies and are responsible for determining if houses coming up for foreclosure or auction are occupied and the general state of the property. These auctions happened on the courthouse steps here in the county every first Tuesday of the month and throughout the year on online sites. You may notice an increase in these types vehicles at the end of each month when these researchers will be getting prepared for the upcoming auction. These guys typically drive around in their own unmarked cars and have cameras and property information on them.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office reported that they wanted to make sure they had all the facts and investigated this completely. The department will always respond to events immediately and in this case they said they had to get all the facts.
