- Two things you can't escape in life are death and taxes. The Forsyth County Tax Commissioner's Office is reminding property owners that tax bills are due Tuesday, Nov. 15. Residents can submit their payment via mail, online banking, credit card or e-check at forsythcountypay.com. Mailed payments postmarked on or prior to Nov. 15 will be accepted. (Patch)
- Roots & Wings Collective presents "Christmas in Room 309," a funny, family-friendly Christmas musical about love and forgiveness. There will be three performances at Waypoint Baptist Church Friday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per person. The script and music are by Marlene Dickinson. (Waypoint)
- Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, a Forsyth County resident, brought his positive message about the country's future to Cumming Chapter 1030 of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Speaking at the organization's November general membership meeting, Duncan talked about his four years as the number two elected official in the state and said his four years in that post was the "honor of a lifetime."
