Time Running Out to Buy Ticket for Sheriff's Office Gun Safe Raffle

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office will give away a 14-gun safe and other firearms-related prizes during a raffle meant to benefit the office’s Explorers program.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the grand prize winner of the raffle will receive the Winchester safe, a smaller, electric locking handgun safe, shooting safety gear, a range bag, and weapon locks. The runner-up will win a second small handgun safe. The safes and other prizes were donated by Dawsonville Gun & Pawn.

One ticket for the raffle will cost $5, while a batch of five tickets will cost $20. All purchases must be made in advance of the Dec. 20 drawing.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Explorers program gives young men and women a chance to interact with law enforcement and learn the ins and outs of the jobs, in preparation for a future career as law enforcement officers.
