Two Children Die In Early Morning Forsyth County Fire
Two children, ages 9 and 12, died early Saturday morning after their Forsyth County home was demolished by a fire, officials say.
CUMMING, GA — Two Forsyth County children, ages 9 and 12, were found dead Saturday morning after their house caught fire.
Their home off Apple Valley Court in the Lanier Heights subdivision caught fire around 2:41 a.m., 11Alive reported.
Division Chief Jason Stover told the TV station that deputies arrived first, but were unable to enter the home due to the extent of the fire. They learned people were inside, but could not go inside.

When firefighters arrived, they found the remains of the children, 11Alive reported. No one else was hurt from the fire.
"Based on the investigation, thus far, there's no indication of foul play," Stover told 11Alive. "Our sincere condolences to the family experiencing this tragic loss."

Officials have said the children's mom was at home, but wasn't able to get to them, WSB-TV reported.
Foul play is not suspected, the station said, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
