Watch: Forsyth Firefighters Rescue Dog From Storm Drain
The 15-year-old chow is named Dixie.

CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County firefighters are getting some love over a video showing them rescuing a scared, 15-year-old dog who had fallen into a storm drain.
"While we mercilessly kid with our brothers and sisters in Red at the FC Fire Department, they are some of the finest to be found," Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman wrote in a post on Facebook, in which he shared the video.
In it, firefighters and other first responders can be seen working to free Dixie, a 15-year-old female Chow.

Working together, they flip the drain's concrete cover out of the way, only to find that the frightened girl had crawled up into the drain pipe. One of the firefighters crawls down into the well and, after trying to call for Dixie to come out, is finally able to grab her collar and help ease her free. "Yay...we have such great caring first responders in Forsyth County," the post read.
Of course, storm drains have been on a lot of people's minds lately, particularly horror-movie fans, thanks to the recent release of "It," written by Stephen King. In it, evil clown Pennywise pops up in a storm drain, attempting to lure kids into joining him.
"Omg I would have been too terrified of clowns to go down there!" wrote one follower on the Humane Society post.
