Weather Alert Issued for Forsyth County
The National Weather Service says to expect high heat indices in the coming days, as well as potential thunderstorms.

Forsyth County is under a hazardous weather outlook that includes large portions of North and Central Georgia, according to the National Weather Service.
From the National Weather Service report:
Above normal temperatures and high heat index values will once again occur this afternoon, with heat index values of 105-107 across parts of Central and East Georgia. A heat advisory is in affect for that area. ... Even for those not in the heat advisory, it will still be hot and all folks spending time outside should follow heat safety rules.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening across North and Central Georgia. A few of these could be strong to severe with gusty winds. Lightning and heavy rains will be additional hazards.
The Weather Service warns above normal temperatures may continue into Wednesday of next week, but says heat indices should remain below 105 through this weekend. There is also a chance of scattered thunderstorms every day leading into the middle portion of next week.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 100. West wind around 5 mph.
Thursday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning.
Friday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 8pm and 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the morning.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.
Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93.
