Weather Decision from Forsyth County Schools

Weather conditions and power outages persist in the area, so the announcement from Forsyth County is not surprising:

Forsyth County Schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, February 19 due to inclement weather. Central Office and 240-day staff should report when conditions permit safe travel.

February 19 WILL be an online/its learning day. We understand that many families are without power, so please note that students have five days AFTER they return to school to complete their work. More information on the Online Learning for School Closings Plan is located at www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/onlineplan. For high schools Thursday will be a seven period day.

A decision concerning after school activities and athletics for Thursday will be made midday on February 19. Please check the district’s website and social media for updates.
