West Continues Quest for Region Title: Wins Sixth Straight

Lambert's Lady Longhorns became the latest to fall to surging West Forsyth in Region 5-7A softball on a one-hitter by Hannah Guthrie. Guthrie continued her prowess in the circle, with a sizzling 0.39 ERA, earning her sixth victory.
Lambert's Allie Sewell busted up the no-hitter with a single in the forth inning.
Meanwhile the Lady Wolverines pounded out 12 runs on 11 hits scattered across nine different players. West's Emily Kraft and Madison Michael each collected two hits each, while Kelsey Schell and Avery Wassilchak went deep with homers. Schell's was her seventh this season.

West (5-4) currently sits tied for second place behind South and North Forsyth at (6-3). Region action concludes tonight with North traveling to West and Forsyth Central (6-4) hosts South.
