What's Open, Closed Christmas Week 2020 In Cumming
Check for Cumming services and offices that are already closed or closing early this week for Christmas.
CUMMING, GA — Christmas may be different for some who may avoid larger gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19. What hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Cumming for the holiday.
While Christmas is a federal holiday, some services may start their closures on Christmas Eve. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) and Friday, Dec. 25 (Christmas).
- Forsyth County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. This includes county offices, the animal shelter, Senior Services, the three recreation centers and the three recycling convenience centers.
- All Forsyth County Library locations will be closed Thursday-Saturday.
- Forsyth County Schools are off from Dec. 23-Jan. 1.
- Cumming City Hall and all other non-essential City of Cumming facilities and departments will be closed in observance of Christmas on Thursday and Friday.
- This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Saturday, Dec. 26.
- Publix: All stores open at regular hours and close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All stores and pharmacies will be closed on Christmas Day.
- Kroger: All stores and pharmacies will close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed on Christmas Day.
