Will the next Toastmaster World Champion of Public Speaking be from Cumming?

Enjoy an afternoon of inspiring speeches as the five Cumming Area Toastmasters Clubs host an Open House and two Speech Competitions on Saturday, March 4th, 3pm – 5pm, at the Forsyth County Library, Cumming Branch.

The winner of the Cumming Area Speech Contest, may make it to the Toastmasters International Speech Contest. Over 30,000 presenters from over 113 countries compete to make it there. The winner is crowned, “The World Champion of Public Speaking.”

Area Director Ira Margolis stated: “Everyone is invited to attend these speech contests to see what Toastmasters is about. If you are interested in improving your communications and leadership skills, in a fun and friendly environment, please come to the Cumming Library to learn more about how the Toastmasters clubs in this area can help you achieve your goals. You never know, you might just see the next World Champion of Public Speaking right here in Cumming.”

Besides the Speech Contest, there will also be a Table Topics Contest, where the contestants are asked a surprise question. The contestants must come up with a great response on the fly. This tests their ability to think on their feet, and express their thoughts in an effective manner.

Snacks will be served after the contests.
