Your Chance To Look at Forsyth County's Plan For the Future

Open houses to review drafts of the county's new comprehensive plan are set for August 29 and August 31.

CUMMING, GA — A pair of open houses have been set in August for citizens to look at, and comment on, drafts of Forsyth County's new comprehensive plan.

The plan was updated over the spring and summer by Foster Forsyth, a group of county leaders and citizens.

The public will have opportunities to review their work on Monday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 31.

The open house will be from 4-8 p.m. both days, at the Commissioners Meeting Room in the Forsyth County administration building, 11o E. Main St. in Cumming.

The comprehensive plan provides an overview of the county's intentions in areas like housing, quality of life, employment and policy.

Foster Forsyth has focused on issues like housing, transportation, zoning and other land use matters and economic development.

Input from the open houses will be used to refine the final plan.

Residents, businesses, property owners and community groups are encouraged to participate.

Community members are welcome to attend both open houses, but should note that both will provide the same information.
