Youth Basketball Registration Open for Ages 5-6

The City of Cumming Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD) has announced registration dates for youth basketball leagues in the city.

According to CRPD’s Facebook page, registration for “Little Rookies” basketball camp for 5 and 6-year-olds has already begun. The clinics will be run on Sunday mornings or Monday evenings starting in January. Registration for the camp is $83.

For older basketball players, registration will not begin until Oct. 6 at 8:30 a.m. The final day of registration for players under 13 will be Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m. Players aged 13 to 18 can register until Oct. 24 at 4:30 p.m. Registration for these age-based leagues depends on how old the child or teenager will be on Jan. 1, 2015. Registration for youth basketball costs $113.

Practices begin the week of Nov. 10 and games begin on Saturday, Dec. 13. Games for players aged 13-18 will be held on Sunday afternoons.
