Firefighters answered a call at 6:44 p.m. of a fully involved fire at the home, where a witness reported seeing flames coming out of front-side windows. No one was home when crews arrived at 6:48.
The fire was under control at 8:56 p.m., Barrett said.
“Each house on both sides of the original fire structure did sustain thermal damage to the exterior vinyl siding from the flames,” Barrett said in an email. “Crews were sent into both homes to check for any fire damage, no fire damage was found.”
People were inside one of the adjacent homes at the time of the fire, and they were alerted by a knock on the door by a passerby. They quickly evacuated.
The American Red Cross will be assisting two families displaced by the fire, Barrett said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
