Citing arrest warrants, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, alleged abuse involving Morriss at the school happened between March 1 and April 1, but it was unclear if there were multiple incidents. The warrant alleges Morriss was working at the school when he took a girl into a “secluded bathroom” to assault her.
The school, which has since re-opened, was shut down by state investigators on April 22 amid reports a teacher was being investigated for child molestation. WSB-TV reported investigators said children were in “imminent danger.”
Morriss was booked into the Gwinnett County jail May 8. He is being held without bond.
