Trash Pickup Delayed In Unincorporated Gwinnett County Due To COVID-19 Cases, Staffing
Those living in unincorporated Gwinnett County will experience delays in both trash and recycle pickup due to COVID-19 cases.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and “staffing issues,” trash and recycling pickup in unincorporated Gwinnett County will experience delays, according to a news release.
Republic Services and Waste Management/Advanced Disposal customers can be notified of delays via text or phone. They can call Republic at (678) 963-2800 or Waste Management at (678) 684-1493 to update their contact information.
“Staff issues have caused operational challenges that have disrupted solid waste service,” said the county in the release.

“The County and the haulers apologize for the service disruption and appreciate customers’ patience during this time,” said the county.
