Cristina Murphy, a resident of Dacula, made the Spring 2015 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 487 students recognized for scholastic achievement.To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

Piedmont College has recognized students from the 2015 Spring Semester who were selected as Dean’s Scholars and named to the Dean’s List. Students named as Dean’s Scholars have earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average for the semester, and students named to the Dean’s List have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99.

- Cary C. Foster of Hoschton was named a Dean’s Scholar

Degrees from Clemson University
Local residents graduated from Clemson University May 8, 2015, in commencement ceremonies. They are:
- William Gerald Emory of Dacula, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages
- Taylor Nicole Johnson of Hoschton, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management
They were among nearly 3,000 students who received degrees at three ceremonies.
