A jobsite fire resulted in the total loss of a front-end loader Tuesday afternoon in Dacula.

Gwinnett County firefighters were called just before 2 p.m. to a construction site on Hog Hountain Road at Hamilton Mill Parkway near Dacula.

The piece of heavy equipment was fully ablaze when crews arrived.

Gwinnett Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said in a news alert that the operator of the loader smelled a burning odor and saw that a fire had started near a busted hydraulic line.

No injuries were reported.
