A Mall of Georgia restaurant that failed a Gwinnett County health department inspection recently fared much better on a re-test this week, according to online records.

Tin Lizzy Cantina scored 99 (out of 100) on June 12, nine days after it scored 65 on a regular inspection.

In the most recent report, the restaurant was cited for stacking wet food containers on a storage shelf and improper handwashing.

On June 3, the inspector noted numerous violations, including the person in charge not performing duties to ensure food codes were being followed.

Observations: Food containers stacked wet on shelf, not allowing for containers to properly air dry. Employee dropped thermometer and picked it up and proceeded to continue to cook without changing gloves.
