According to 11 Alive, mourners came out to the train tracks where Alfred Wallace died on March 7 and discovered a business card on the ground. The card was given to Wallace by his mother, who had asked her son to take some cards with him to Decatur to pass out to his friends. The mourners found the card while releasing red balloons at the site to honor Wallace’s life.
Wallace’s mother told 11 Alive she wasn’t sure that her son had actually taken the cards with him, but the discovery of the card on the ground proved that the young man was trying to help his mother’s business succeed.
