In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the Decatur Police Department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Decatur between Saturday, March 14 and Friday, March 20:

• On March 14 at 7:05 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 400 block of Church Street.
• On March 15 at 12:50 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 300 block of Greenwood Avenue.
• On March 15 at 1 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 300 block of 4th Avenue.
• On March 15 at 3 p.m., an entering auto was reported in the 100 block of Clairemont Avenue.
• On March 16 at 1:50 a.m., a theft by receiving stolen property was reported at S. Candler Street at Buchanan Terrace.
• On March 16 at 3:15 am., a hijacking of motor vehicle was reported in the 200 block of E. Ponce de Leon Avenue.
• On March 16 at 12:30 p.m., a theft of lost/mislaid property was reported in the 1 block of West Court Square.
• On March 16 at 7:11 p.m., an entering auto was reported in the 400 block of E. Howard Avenue.
• On March 16 at 7:30 p.m., an entering auto was reported in the 700 block of W. College Avenue.
• On March 16 at 9:00 p.m., an identity fraud was reported in the 100 block of E. Hill Street.
• On March 17 at 4:45 p.m., an entering auto was reported in the 300 block of Clairemont Avenue.
• On March 18 at 12:30 a.m., an armed robbery was reported in the 100 block of Clairemont Avenue.
• On March 18 at 7:30 a.m., a first degree burglary without forced entry was reported in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue.
• On March 19 at 12:00 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 500 block of N. McDonough Street.
• On March 19 at 4:30 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 500 block of N. McDonough Street.
• On March 20 at 12:21 p.m., an entering auto was reported in the 100 block of Clairemont Avenue.
• On March 20 at 5 p.m., an entering auto was reported in the 400 block of E. Howard Avenue.
• On March 20 at 5 p.m., a first degree burglary with no forced entry was reported in the 400 block of Clairemont Avenue.
• On March 20 at 6:30 p.m., theft by taking was reported in the 700 block of Commerce Drive.
• On March 20 at 6:30 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 400 block of W. Trinity Place.
