Happy Wednesday, people of Duluth! Here's everything you need to know around Duluth today.

First, today's weather:

Warm with variable clouds. High: 82 Low: 58.

Here are the top three stories today in Duluth:

  1. On Tuesday, the FDA approved a second COVID-19 booster shot for individuals who are immunocompromised or age 50-plus. This means that eligible Georgians who received their last booster shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least four months ago may receive another one. Duluth residents who need a primary vaccine series or a booster can schedule their COVID-19 vaccine appointment through the Gwinnett-Newton-Rockdale County Health Department website. (Patch)
  2. The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office hosted its 2022 First Quarter Awards Ceremony on Monday, Mar. 28. The ceremony recognized deputies who have recently advanced to new leadership positions within the Sheriff's Office. "We are extremely thankful to have such a talented group of men and women employed at the Sheriff's Office that faithfully answers the call to protect the citizens of Gwinnett County," wrote the Sheriff's Office on Facebook. Where should you invest as a Duluth resident with a $149,000 nest egg? Thanks to a change in the legal code, there's a new investment Duluth residents need to know about. In fact, Bloomberg asked experts where they'd invest $100,000 right now and many of them chose it.

This may surprise you, but it's fine art.

Growing your nest egg with art isn't new. Wealthy families like the Rockefellers have done it for centuries.

Here's why:

  • Low correlation to stocks according to Citi
  • Contemporary art historically returns 23.2% when inflation is >3%
  • Contemporary art prices outpaced the S&P 500 by 164% (1995-2021)

Translation: Art could be one of the best investments for uncertain times.

Luckily for you, we found Masterworks. This revolutionary platform lets you invest in art by Warhol, Monet, Picasso without spending millions.

The best part? Anyone from your area can skip their waitlist*.
