Things finally begin to warm up as temperatures soar into the 80's and 90's this weekend. Today we'll see the beginning of a hot and continued dry spell with no rain in sight (currently 16 days without measureable rainfall) until later next week. The high pressure responsible for the heat is also responsible for the stagnate air that sits over us, and again today we're under a Smog Alert.
Look for a high today in the upper 80's, close to 90 on Saturday, and low to mid 90's on Sunday. The potential for some clouds and a very slight chance for a little rain on Sunday could keep the temperatures down from the expected highs, but mainly across the northern sections of Georgia.
It looks like the next best chance for rain comes around the Wednesday/Thursday timeframe next week.
