  2. Need a doctor's check-up? The fourth Gwinnett Health Fair is set to offer free health screenings this Saturday in Buford. This event is presented by Clover and Publix, and is put on by the Gwinnett Daily Post in partnership with Live Healthy Gwinnett. 3. Parkland Residential has announced the approval and building of a new Lawrenceville build-to-rent project called Sugarloaf Springs. The residential company has seen the need for rentable properties in Gwinnett County. The project will break ground in April, and 200 residents have already been put on the waiting list. 4. Gwinnett County commissioners initially rejected the decriminalization of small amounts of cannabis possession, but then voted to postpone making the final decision. Some commissioners believe that no change is needed to the current ordinance, but the change has been hyped by Commissioner Kirkland Carden, the leading proponent for the change, as a way to give officers options on what to do with people who possess only small amounts of cannabis. 5. Gwinnett County Corrections Office is holding a hiring event for corrections officers on November 13 at the Comprehensive Correctional Complex on Hi Hope Road in Lawrenceville from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include a facility tour, background processing, a behavior personal assessment device and interview panels.
