Duluth Fine Arts League Providing Art Scholarships

The Duluth Fine Arts League (DFAL) is providing two $1,000 scholarships to Duluth students planning to pursue careers in the fine arts. Applicants must be seniors enrolled at Duluth High School or home-schooled within the city limits of Duluth, according to Mary Buck, chairman of the DFAL Scholarship Committee. 

Application deadline is March 31. Students will be invited to interviews in April and will be further judged by a jury, Buck said. Music students will be asked to perform, and art students will need to show their artwork, she said.

The application can be downloaded from the DFAL website. Mail the completed application to Mary Buck, DFAL, 3899 Hansom Cab Way, Duluth GA 30096. Applicants can also deliver the application to her address. Late entries will not be accepted. For more information, call 770-623 -3889.
