- A bill that would make Gwinnett school board elections nonpartisan has advanced. About 40 percent of Georgia's 180 school boards hold elections where votes know the political parties of candidates. The legislation by Senator Clint Dixon was proposed following the school board's flip from years of Republican control to Democrat. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- A Gwinnett Convention & Visitors Bureau press release highlighted the rich diversity of the county, which includes numerous Black-owned restaurants, shops, and tourism-related businesses that are bringing visitors into the Gwinnett. Some Black-owned businesses to check out right here in Duluth include Who's Got Soul Southern Café, Mama's Paradise Jamaican restaurant, Theory Bistro and Lounge, Caribbean Fiesta, Sage Juice Bar and Cafe, World Coffee and Tea, Soaps Gardens, and Cigar Jazz. - The Duluth Police Department announced that Master Patrol Officer Lee-Foon has reached the five-year milestone of serving Duluth. Officer Lee-Foon has nine years of total law enforcement experience. He currently serves in the DPD's Uniform Division as a Field Training Officer. (Duluth Police Department)

- Nearly half a year after its inception, the Re-entry Health Insurance Program (R.H.I.P.) has successfully assisted close to 800 individuals in signing up for health care through the Affordable Care Act.
