Here are the top stories today in Duluth:
- Gwinnett County has started allocating the $181.9 million of federal relief funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. Officials have decided to focus the funds to items such as serving the underfunded and underserved parts of the county. The county has until 2024 to get an action plan together and it has until 2026 to spend the money. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)

- A Gwinnett County Jail inmate tested positive for COVID-19 this weekend. This situation will delay court dates that were already set for the coming weeks to keep everyone safe. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Back in April, a local family found a human skull in Gwinnett County. This week, authorities were able to collect enough DNA to say that the skull is actually the remains of a missing Greenville, South Carolina woman named Brittany Davis. The fiancé of the 32-year-old is currently being held in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond on charges of murder. (WSB Atlanta)
