Morning, Duluth! Let's get this Friday started off right. Here's what's happening in town today.


First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny. High: 64 Low: 40.


Here are the top three stories today in Duluth:

  1. A proposed budget for Gwinnett County Schools reportedly includes a pay raise for teachers. According to school board sources, the proposal could increase paychecks by $2,000 in some cases. (Patch)
  2. This week, Gwinnett County Police released a video showing hundreds of onlookers enjoying an illegal drag race in Duluth. The video features a large crowd gathered at the intersection of Buford Highway and Old Peachtree Road, and shows what appears to be a chaotic attempt by local authorities to clear the scene. (WSBTV)
  3. UniverSoul Circus is coming this month to Gwinnett Place Mall. The show, founded in Atlanta in 1993, features a wide range of international performers. (FOX5)
