YH's BBQ And Crab in Duluth receives a 55% on their recent health inspection (thegeorgiagazette.com) — A Duluth favorite, YH's BBQ and Crab on Pleasant Hill Road recently scored just 55 out of 100 on a state health inspection, temporarily losing its permit before it was reinstated. Inspectors cited repeat violations involving food storage, thawing, labeling, and handwashing practices, and a follow-up visit is scheduled within days, so expect changes if you plan to eat there soon.
   

2. Is your meat good to eat? Georgia distributor tied to major food recall (savannahnow.com) — A major recall of more than 160,000 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat includes products shipped through A&D Foods in Duluth, so some local stores and restaurants may be affected. Because the meat lacked federal inspection and used a false USDA mark, residents are urged to check any unlabeled bulk meats and discard or return suspicious items rather than risk illness.
   

3. Jamie MacDonald Expands Her Record-Breaking Debut With 'Jamie MacDonald (The Deluxe Album),' Out October 16 (shorefire.com) — Christian artist Jamie MacDonald is bringing Phil Wickham's Songs Of The Saints Tour to Gas South Arena in Duluth on October 7, giving local fans a chance to hear her record-breaking debut songs live. Northside Hospital Expands Network in Georgia with Two Acquisitions (levinassociates.com) — Northside Hospital, which operates a major campus in Duluth, is expanding its reach by acquiring Atlanta Institute for ENT and The Plastic Head and Neck Surgery Institute. These deals fold more ear, nose, throat, and facial surgery services into Northside's regional network, potentially broadening specialty care options available to Duluth-area patients over time.
