A feeling of pleasure and satisfaction that you get when you, or someone connected with you, have achieved something special.

Duluth can be proud today after another successful festival, 31 years now.  What a beautiful weekend.

Most visitors that came to enjoy the festival had no idea of the energy, the behind the scenes planning it takes to produce the Festival. Outside the volunteers that work throughout the weekend to keep things moving smoothly for the vendors, the entertainers, and the various community organizations that march in the parade, few people understand what it takes to make a successful Duluth Fall Festival.

So today for those volunteers who made it all possible we say thank you.

For the volunteers that were  involved with the Duluth Fall Festival there is a special satisfaction today,  something special in being part of something larger than yourself. There is a great reward in the friendships and relationships one makes in participating in your community.

So, if you want to expand your life experience and make lasting friendships, I urge you to jump in and experience the benefits of participating in your community. We owe it to one another to pool our energy our resources to make a difference in the place that we live. That is the source of pride the volunteers that made it happen over the weekend feel today.
