Report: Gwinnett Place J.C. Penney to Close

J.C. Penney will close 40 stores nationwide this year, including the location at Gwinnett Place Mall near Duluth, the Associated Press reported.

Two other Georgia locations are set to be closed — in Dalton and LaGrange — and 2,250 positions are expected to be cut. Many of the closures nationally are expected to be finalized by April.

The J.C. Penney at the Mall of Georgia is apparently not on the list.
