First, today's weather:

Plenty of sunshine. High: 65 Low: 42.

Here are the top stories in Duluth today:

  1. Wednesday, an overturned tractor-trailer on I-85 in Norcross near Peachtree Industrial blocked multiple lanes creating heavy traffic and delays in our area. As of Thursday afternoon, only one of the lanes was open back while crews worked hard at cleaning up the debris. Take alternate routes when necessary. (CBS46)
  2. Yesterday, Gwinnett County moved its Veterans Day activities indoors due to an expected rainy forecast. This year's keynote speaker was retired Major General Ronald Johnson who is a professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  3. The Gwinnett Chamber has announced its 2021 small business award winners! They were nominated by anyone in the community. A confidential selection committee reviewed the nominations and scored them based on the criteria outlined on the nominating application. Congrats to all who won! (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  4. Gwinnett County police need our help in finding a man who was caught stealing guitars from a local church. There is security footage of the man walking into the church and out with two guitars on October 22. If you have any information on the crime, contact local police. (CBS46)
  5. Now, here is an update from one of yesterday's stories. Loved ones are now remembering the Gwinnett County first-grade teacher, Alexandra Morales, who was reported as missing earlier this week. Yesterday, officials found her dead body in Mexico. Our condolences go out to the family and loved ones who have been impacted by this tragedy. (11Alive.com WXIA)
