Here are the top stories in Duluth today:
- The Gwinnett County Animal Shelter has modified its hours of operation. This is a seasonal change, meaning that it will be closing one hour earlier. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Two Gwinnett men, whom I mentioned yesterday, were included in indictments on the federal level that involve an alleged conspiracy to sell large amounts of methamphetamine. The Gwinnett police department worked with the federal government on this case to decrease the amounts of the hard drug on the streets. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- Two Buford parents were recently indicted in the death of their 5-year-old daughter. They have been accused of starving their child to death. (Gainesville Times)
- Gwinnett County Public School District is planning several vaccine clinics in the months of November and December. The clinics will not require an appointment, and will be held in several of GCPS high schools. You must be 12 years and older to receive a vaccine, and any minor should be accompanied by an adult. - A 16-year old GCPS student was shot and killed at his bus stop on Tuesday morning. The two suspects are also teenagers, and have been arrested after concerned neighbors described the two young men to officials. (WSBTV)
