Tune into everything going down in town with the Duluth Daily.

Good day, neighbors! It's me again, Lyndsay Kendall Oxley, your host of the Duluth Daily.
First, today's weather:
Showers and a heavier t-storm. High: 74 Low: 66.
Here are the top stories today in Duluth:
- Gwinnett County Schools superintendent, Calvin Watts, sent a very concerned letter on Monday to all parents and staff about a new TikTok challenge calling on students to slap teachers 'on the backside.' The new superintendent says that he is very disheartened that some Gwinnett students have chosen to irresponsibly get themselves caught up in TikTok challenges, and that police intervention was used in some cases. He is also saying the behavior of the new challenge will not be tolerated and will be treated as sexual assault. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- Johns Creek has finally completed the Old Alabama Road intersection improvement project! The project that was completed was near Buice Road. Because of this, traffic might lighten up around this area! (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Two Gwinnett teenagers have been arrested after officials found the whereabouts of a stolen Nissan Rouge. The teens were also armed with small handguns. There are not many more details surrounding this case due to the age of the thieves. (CBS46)
- GCPS educator, Nury Castillo Crawford, has been named to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce list of most influential Latinos in the state for the third year in a row! She is the one who created the Gwinnett Community-Based Mentoring Program for Hispanic Girls Priority. She was selected out of a pool of 300 people from around the state. Felicitaciones, Sra. Crawford!(Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- A local teen found his mom shot to death by their neighbor late in the evening on September 25 in their Duluth home. The mother's name is Carlether Foley, and she was an aspiring actress in addition to being a mother. The neighbor is now being held in the county prison on multiple charges related to the incident.
